Committee (and player) Roles Description
Chairperson
He is responsible to oversee the Barnet DFC to make thing to run smoothly. He command Barnet DFC as a ship as he can choose where to sail. All the committees must obey his command.
He makes the final decision to agree or disagree with a proposal or your idea or action.
Vice Chairperson
He take over the role of Chairperson if he is away or unavailable. Same description as above.
Secretary
He is responsible to take all the incoming messages from outside the Barnet DFC and arrange hotel booking, minibus hire, any other service. And also his responsible to ensure all the preparation for fixtures are still on and notify the league about Barnet DFC’s fixture result and referee rating afterward.
Treasurer
He is responsible to look after the finance of Barnet DFC. He decides to agree or disagree with the cost, unless Chairperson said so.
He must record all the transactions included income and expenditure. He must collect all the evidence like receipts and invoices.
Manager
He picks team for the fixtures. He decide who is playing and who is not playing. Even you don’t agree with his selection.
He is responsible to ensure all the players happy and good moral.
Assistant Manager
He picks team for the manager who is not in attendance. players must respect his team selection.
His responsible to work with manager and must watch and learn how he run the team. Therefore, he must accept his request to do tasks.
Coach
He is responsible to run the football training. He must make sure every players are involved in training and keep them fitter. And also to improve their football skill.
He must accept the manager’s request about what is needed to improve like marking, kicking, heading etc. He must arrange the training method according the football skill requirement.
Player Representative
He is responsible to look after the players. He must listen what the players is not happy about but the player can not bring up the issue to the manager or any other committees. Repect player’s decision not to tell the committee, player’s name but tell them what is problem. You must learn how to be confidential friend.
He must look after new player to feel welcome and settle in well. And also ensure the players are all together in bonding and socialising.
Kit Manager
He is responsible to look after all the football kits. Therefore, he carries kits, washes dirty kits, prepare kits. He must keep all the receipts for clothes washing charge. He is responsible to check with secretary about which colour of football kit to wear on match.
Players must obey Kit manager’s instruction over the kits.
Player
You have to attend football training every week to improve his football skills and his fittest. If you cant make football training, you must let manager know before 12pm on the same day of training.
You have to attend every match. If you cant make football matches, because you have other arrangement, you must let manager know more than 48 hours before.
If you are not happy over whatever, don’t put up with it, you are allow to express but only to player representative. He will bring it up at the committee meeting which is on every month. So just be patient and resilient if the timing is not good for you until then the committee meeting took the place.
